Like last year, you can nominate up to 6 fandoms with up to 15 characters.
As a reminder: Eligible characters have no more than 250 complete English-language fanworks on AO3 with 1000 words or more. OR, for bigger fandoms, eligible characters feature in no more than 5% of complete English fics above 1000 words.
Example: The Sherlock (TV) fandom has (at the time of writing) 28,438 complete English-language fanworks with 1000 words or above. To be eligible, a character in that fandom must be featured in less than 1422 works to be eligible.
To speed up the Reviewing process, you can post your search results here, if your fandoms have more than 250 works on AO3. Go forth and nominate! :D

rarepairfest just having closed their sign-ups you surely don't need another Rare [x] challenge, right? However, if you do, there will be a few changes this year. We hope you're okay with that. First, the Dates:

And secondly, this year we will only be checking eligibility on AO3. We hope that works for you. In our experience, ff.net is more relevant for older fandoms, and we wouldn't mind re-populating those on AO3.
Thoughts, suggestions, concerns are all welcome! Hoping to see you play! :)
P.S.: If you can't wait to write anything, why not head over to our Treat Collection? There, you can browse prompts to create fanwork for, and leave your own. Alternately, you can browse the requests from last year. Maybe something sparks your interest. :)

Author Reveals!
Nov. 2nd, 2013 11:57 amneurotoxiaAt last, the author reveals! You can now see who created your gift (and stalk the rest of their work) and the works will appear in the creator's list of recent works. You are now free to post your art, fic, podfic, etc. to any other place you desire!

Now that the works are revealed, we're encouraging you to post your other prompts or entirely new ones in our prompt meme. If you find one that you'd like to write: there are no minimum requirements or deadlines in the treat collection.

With a tiny bit of delay, we are now approaching our final destination. Submissions just closed, thank you for all your hard work!
Unfortunately, we had to default a few peope who neither submitted a fanwork nor checked in with us before the deadline to negotiate an extension. Which means we have new pinch hits available, so please check them out.
If you were defaulted for non-submission and still want to finish your assignment, get in touch with us an wel'll work something out.
Reveals are scheduled for the 22nd, although they might be delayed until everyone has received a gift.

Make sure your letters are publicly viewable, i.e. no longer under an f-lock or anything.
If you don't think you'll be able to create anything for your assignment, tell us. If you need more information on what your recipient might like, we can try to contact them on your behalf. If that doesn't help, that'd a pity, but not the end of the world. You can default and we'll try to assign a pinch-hitter for your assignment.

Until then, you can check the Ineligible Characters list or the Clarifications post in case you are wondering why your nominations has been rejected or is still unreviewed.
Do be aware that we might reject the remaining characters, if we are not sure who they are.
Also, another question regarding signups. Do you want signups to be transparent or not, i.e. do you want to see what others prompt or do you want to be surprised? Should we make a poll about that?
