Nominations are open!

Go here to nominate!

Like last year, you can nominate up to 6 fandoms with up to 15 characters.

As a reminder: Eligible characters have no more than 250 complete English-language fanworks on AO3 with 1000 words or more. OR, for bigger fandoms, eligible characters feature in no more than 5% of complete English fics above 1000 words.

Example: The Sherlock (TV) fandom has (at the time of writing) 28,438 complete English-language fanworks with 1000 words or above. To be eligible, a character in that fandom must be featured in less than 1422 works to be eligible.

To speed up the Reviewing process, you can post your search results here, if your fandoms have more than 250 works on AO3. Go forth and nominate! :D

Oh, I thought the username shows up.

I'll just mention the ones that may appear misleadingly popular. But on second thought, I think Kakashi and Iruka are very popular so it's okay if you reject those two.

(1) Teen Wolf (TV): Noshiko Yukimura, Jennifer Blake, Kali (Teen Wolf), Marin Morrell, Talia Hale and Melissa McCall.

(2) Naruto: Rock Lee, Gaara, Sai, Hatake Kakashi, Umino Iruka, Might Guy, Mizuki.

So, I've checked the numbers, and as you said Iruka and Kakashi are still very popular. The Naruto fandom has 3762 complete English-language 1000+ words fics. Kakashi throws 1232 fics with the same parameters, Iruka 603.

Teen Wolf has 23173 fics after filtering, which means a character needs less than 1159 fics to be eligible. Melissa McCall, unfortunately, has 1754. The rest is all good.

Yeah, I thought those two would be popular.

But Melissa McCall does not appear as a main character in majority of those fanworks, especially fanfics. That makes her a rare character.
